Little Book Land

座落於花蓮文化創意產業園區第六棟歷史建築內，「繪本故事屋」由文化部推動，是東部首座國家級繪本閱讀示範基地，也是一場關於空間、記憶與兒童感知的溫柔實驗。歷經 0403 地震後的修復重生，這棟老酒廠建築重新被賦予新的生命——從工業遺構轉化為承載想像與陪伴的閱讀場域，讓故事再次在城市裡發芽。

本案室內空間由偶然設計操刀，團隊將整體概念定調為「以故事為空間起點」。設計的第一個動作是保留——原有木屋架結構與歲月痕跡被細心留下，成為孩子走入空間後所閱讀到的第一頁故事。建築本體由時境建築師事務所負責修復與工程監造，在歷史保存與結構安全之間細緻拿捏，使老建築得以穩固重生，也為後續空間創作奠定堅實基礎。

新植入的設計語彙以自然意象為核心展開：層層生成的木質框架如同森林生長，流動的動線模擬水的節奏，而樹洞與小屋形式的閱讀角落，則化為孩子們最嚮往的祕密基地。香菇造型的家具與燈具，不只是童趣裝置，更是尺度精準的空間節點，細膩回應不同年齡層的身體高度與行為節奏。

這些設計建立在兒童行為觀察之上的空間策略。半私密的樹洞角落滿足孩子對專屬領域的心理需求；開放而連續的動線鼓勵自由遊走與探索；柔性的材質語彙則在不知不覺中鋪陳出安全感，讓閱讀成為一種自然發生的狀態。

館內空間規劃為兩大主題：「無邊際書房」與「想像力客廳」，前者打破傳統圖書館封閉書架的形式，使繪本如森林果實般觸手可及；後者整合彈性活動空間、嬰幼兒友善書區與 AR 互動體驗，讓閱讀不再只是靜止行為，而是一場結合身體、感官與想像的旅程。

在這裡，歷史建築的老木架不再是包袱，而被隱喻為森林中的大樹；新生成的樹洞與香菇，則彷彿從樹下自然萌發的生命節點。新與舊並置，形成一場溫柔而持續的時間對話。

目前館藏已超過 3,000 冊國家語言繪本，涵蓋自然生命、情感人際、想像未來與公民參與等多元主題，使空間同時承載閱讀、教育與文化傳承的角色。繪本故事屋不只是親子共讀的場所，更示範了歷史建築再利用的另一種可能——在設計創作、公共文化與專業修復的交會之下，空間不只是被修復，而是重新被喚醒，建立起人與場域之間細緻而深刻的情感連結。

Hualien Cultural and Creative Industries Park – “Little Book Land” begins with “story” as the foundation of its spatial concept. Aligning with the Ministry of Culture’s picture book industry development strategy and the broader growth of Taiwan’s eastern living sphere, it serves as a national hub dedicated to the promotion of picture books. In the aftermath of the April 3 earthquake, the historic structure was carefully restored and revitalized, seamlessly integrated with the newly established Story House. Within just three months, the project realized a thoughtful dialogue between heritage architecture and contemporary additions. The design preserves the weathered wooden roof trusses, honoring the traces of time, while introducing timber frames, tree-hollow cabins, and flowing circulation paths. Playful furnishings and mushroom-inspired forms cultivate a sense of security and spark children’s natural curiosity and desire to explore.

Centered on picture books in Taiwan’s national languages, the space weaves together reading, exhibition, and interactive experiences. Two signature zones—“The Boundless Study” and “The Imagination Living Room”—shape the spatial narrative. Featuring 13 curated book themes and a collection of over 3,000 titles, Little Book Land invites children to connect with nature, encounter cultural diversity, and expand their imagination toward the future.
