高雄機廠遷建潮州及原有廠址開發計畫公共藝術設置計畫

《卷卷凳》坐落於潮州鐵道文物館與自然湖畔之間的過渡區，以蜿蜒流動的金屬造型呼應湖畔的自然曲線，並象徵鐵道的線條意象。

作品由三個弧形量體構成，當陽光穿過彎折鋼板的細縫灑落地面，光影交錯出濃淡層次的疏落紋理。紅銅色的金屬弧面隨日夜光線變化，展現豐富而獨特的沈浸式光影體驗。

以凝聚與流動為設計語彙，鄰近基地主建築群的《卷卷凳》營造出開放且富交流性的空間氛圍，邀請遊客於其間穿梭、停留與互動。在造型與尺度上呼應環境的功能性與地景調性，成為兼具休憩、等候與親子互動的共享場域。

Rolling Bench is situated in the transitional zone between the Chaozhou Railway Heritage Museum and the natural lakeside. Its winding metallic form echoes the fluid curves of the lake while symbolizing the linear imagery of the railway.

Composed of three curved volumes, the installation allows sunlight to filter through the narrow slits of the bent steel panels, casting a play of shadows that shift in tone and density across the ground. The copper-red metal surfaces transform with the changing light of day and night, offering visitors an immersive experience of ever-evolving reflections and shadows.

Using cohesion and flow as its design language, “Rolling Bench” creates an open and interactive spatial atmosphere that invites visitors to wander, linger, and connect. Adjacent to the site’s main architectural cluster, the work harmonizes with the surrounding landscape and functions as a shared public space for rest, waiting, and family interaction.
