穿霧之境 The Realm of Mist

臺灣霧林帶的文化流動 Where Culture Flows Through Forest and Mist

水，無形而萬象。

或為霧，繚繞淺山丘陵，喚醒沉睡的林間氣息；

或為川，奔流於大地褶皺之間，雕刻時間的紋理；

或為湖，靜靜映照歲月與天光。

它在流動與寧靜之間，形塑風土，也召喚人與自然共生的文化記憶。

 

《穿霧之境》是一段由水引領、由霧籠罩的感知旅程，全世界只有1%的森林可以稱之為霧林，台灣正擁有這樣珍稀的資源，因此我們在在霧氣中使用如天光般灑下的聚光燈，創造霧林的意象。

 

帶著觀者深入台灣的淺山丘陵與深林地景，逐漸匯為河川，見證族群與文化的流動，駐於湖泊，映照生活與信仰的軌跡。霧、川、湖三態串起自然與文化、感知與記憶，穿越霧境，我們再次傾聽水的語言，感受一場深植土地的靜謐流動。

​Water, formless yet manifest in all things.

It may become mist, winding around gentle hills, awakening the breath of slumbering forests;

It may become a river, rushing through the folds of the earth, carving the patterns of time;

It may become a lake, quietly reflecting the years and the light of the sky.​

Between movement and stillness, it shapes landscapes and calls forth a cultural memory of harmony between people and nature.

"The Realm of Mist" is a sensory journey led by water and veiled in fog. Only 1% of the world’s forests can be called cloud forests, and Taiwan is home to this rare treasure. Within the mist, we use beams of light—like shafts of sunlight—to create the imagery of a cloud forest.

Guiding viewers deep into Taiwan’s low hills and forest landscapes, the journey gradually converges into rivers, bearing witness to the flow of peoples and cultures, and settles into lakes, mirroring the traces of life and faith. Mist, river, and lake weave together nature and culture, perception and memory. Passing through this misty realm, we once again listen to the language of water and feel a quiet flow deeply rooted in the land.
